Oklahoma's Grand Lake
Grand Lake Over the Cherokees known more commonly as 'Grand Lake', is in far northeastern Oklahoma. It has become a popular retirement destination for the babyboomer generation. Grove, Oklahoma is the largest town on the lake with a population of about six-thousand.
Grand Lake is one of only two lakes in Oklahoma that allow direct, waterfront development. Grand Lake is re-noun for it's remarkable bass fishing and recreational opportunities. Due to it's South-North Orientation, it is perfectly suited for Sailboats, and many can be seen during the lazy day's of summer.
Real Estate and the overall cost of living in Oklahoma is favorable. However, due to Grand Lake's proximity to Tulsa, real estate is a bit pricier compared to other Oklahoma Lake destinations. Many people from Oklahoma City and Tulsa have second homes or condo's on the lake and spend long weekends resting and relaxing lakeside.
